RIA – Building a Better Working Life
The Association of Construction Engineers and Architects RIA is the national central organization for construction professionals who have graduated from universities of applied sciences. RIA promotes its members’ professional development, position in the labour market, and employment opportunities.

Who can join as a member?
Our members most commonly hold qualifications in construction engineering, construction architecture, construction management, or environmental and landscape design. Having completed any of the above, you can remain a member even if you change jobs or field — and you can join already during your studies!
RIA’s membership fee is a fixed annual fee of 327 € paid in a single instalment or 358 € in two instalments. If you pay your membership fee in a single instalment (327 €) and belong to KOKO (69 €), the cost of membership works out to just 1,08 € per day. Student membership (up to 5 years) is free and graduates are entitled to a lowered membership fee in the first two years after graduation of 75 € and 191 €.
Member Associations
RIA’s local associations offer a diverse range of programs for members in their area, including trainings, study trips, site visits, as well as entertainment, cultural, and sports events.
Information for Students
How can you benefit from RIA membership during your studies? How can you get involved in student activities and events? Ask the student expert, campus promoters at your institution, or representatives of the student committee!
Board
RIA’s activities are guided by a board that works according to an action plan and makes many of the practical decisions. You can also ask for more information and give feedback on RIA’s activities directly to board members.
