Employment Advice
We assist our members with questions and challenges related to employment. When necessary, we work with a lawyer to help resolve problems and disputes.

Guidelines
When you need employment advice, contact the RIA office preferably by email. Attach relevant documentation to your message, such as an employment contract or notice of termination.

If we cannot find a solution to your matter through the RIA office and a lawyer, you may apply for a legal expenses decision from RIA’s CEO. RIA’s legal expenses insurance covers legal costs in disputes and criminal matters related to employment matters, as well as matters handled through administrative proceedings or administrative judicial procedure. The maximum compensation amount is 12 000 € and the deductible is 10% of the cost.
A lawyer can assist in all legal disputes related to working life or entrepreneurship, such as employment, contract and fee disputes, construction and design errors, and occupational safety violations.
Workplace Advocacy
The union representatives and occupational safety representatives act as employee’s representatives in negotiations with employers.
RIA does not have its own union representatives in workplaces, but RIA has concluded various cooperation agreements to safeguard members’ advocacy at the workplace level. A RIA member can serve as a YTN union representative.
If you have questions about terms of employment at your workplace or workplace practices, first contact your union representatives or occupational safety representative.
- Union representatives of YTN, the Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff, advise and assist RIA members in workplaces in the design and consulting sector and architectural design sector.
- Union representatives of JUKO, the Negotiating Organisation for Public Sector Professionals, assist RIA members in municipal and wellbeing services county workplaces.
- Union representatives of Trade Union Pro assist RIA members in state sector workplaces.
